MP: Najib's silence on Trump's ban shows subservience to US

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's silence on US President Donald Trump's travel ban on Muslims shows that Malaysia has become subservient to both the United States and China, an Amanah lawmaker laments

"We are not only subservient to the US but also increasingly to Communist China by allowing it massive economic domination," Kuala Terengganu MP Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad said in a statement today.

Najib has been under fire for the rise in China's involvement in local development projects, with critics claiming that the country is being "sold" to China.

Meanwhile, critics are also piling pressure on Najib for not commenting on Trump's travel ban on the citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries.
