Khairy: Not fair to stop Annuar from contesting FAM presidency
It is not fair to bar suspended Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) chairperson Annuar Musa from contesting for the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) presidency said Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
“I don’t think its fair to tell him not to contest because he is still being investigated.
“He has not been charged or found guilty,” Khairy said at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.
It is not fair to bar suspended Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) chairperson Annuar Musa from contesting for the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) presidency said Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

Annuar is among four people nominated for the FAM presidency.
The other candidates are Khairy, Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, and former Putrajaya Corporation president Aseh Che Mat.
Annuar was suspended as Mara chief earlier this week, reportedly to facilitate investigations into allegations that PMB Investment Bhd and Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) sponsored the Kelantan football team, which he is linked to.
Khairy noted that the FAM congress is in March, and hoped the probe into Annuar would be done by then.
Meanwhile, Khairy said he would meet with the people who nominated him, before deciding on whether or not accept.
“I’m going to meet those who have nominated my name, then I have a better idea why they nominated me.
“I cannot consider or it or not consider it until I know why this had come about,” he said.
