DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang said that the Royal Malaysian Police, its Special Branch and the Home Ministry would have been total failures if allegations that he and his party are puppets controlled by Singaporean strings are true.

He argued that our more than capable Special Branch would have ferreted it out if that was so.

"I think it is most unfair, and a gross defamation, to regard the Special Branch, the police and the Home Ministry in the past five decades as total failures in not knowing in the past 50 years that DAP and I were just “puppets” of Singapore

"In fact, the Special Branch in Malaysia is one of the best in the world - able to ferret out secrets and defeat the nation’s enemies, and is probably the only Special Branch in the world to win the battle for the hearts and minds of the people against the communists," he said during a speech in Sepang last night.

Lim was referring to what he claimed is a new wave of attacks being directed against him after his political enemies found that their efforts to paint him as an "anti-Malay" and "anti-Islam" was not as effective as they thought.

He claimed his 'Deep Throat' told him that the new attack that the ruling party leaders, propagandists and cyber-troopers are going to launch against him will be that he and DAP are stooges of Singapore's PAP.

However, Lim argued if he and DAP are stooges of Singapore's PAP, it would mean that there has been a major failure by the Malaysian police, in particular the Special Branch, as for some five decades of DAP’s existence, they knew nothing about it and this never became an issue in the past 50 years.

"This would mean that all the past Special Branch directors, and even inspectors-general of police, all the Home Ministers in the past five decades, would have been dismal failures?"

However, Lim said that the attack, like those that tried to accuse him to be anti-Malay or anti-Islam are of course, just lies.

"There is just no basis whatsoever in the lies that DAP and I are stooges of Singapore's PAP," he stressed.

Lim said that the fact that there is another spate of political attacks aimed at him, only means that the ruling party is desperate and has to resort to such smear tactics to continue to hold on to power.
