Perak PAS chief Razman Zakaria today revealed aspirations for a PAS-Umno "pan-Malay Muslim government" (Kerajaan Melayu Islam Nusantara).

Razman, who is a PAS central committee member, said the government would consist of 80 PAS MPs, 40 Umno MPs and 45 MPs from Sabah and Sarawak. He did not say which parties the East Malaysian MPs would be from.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang will be the prime minister of this government, which he hopes will be formed after the 14th general election, he said in a posting on Facebook.

Malaysiakini has contacted Razman for further comment and is awaiting his reply.

This comes after Kelantan Menteri Besar Ahmad Yaakob said PAS was still identifying the number of parliamentary seats it would contest in the next general election and that PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad was inaccurate in saying that the party is targeting 80 seats.

In an immediate response, PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli said Razman's posting gives credence to public fears of an Umno-PAS collusion.

Rafizi said this was especially so after the video of Hadi saying that PAS wants to win only five states and that Umno can take the rest, which went viral.

However, Hadi has denied that PAS has an electoral pact with Umno.

"If PAS is strategising to cooperate with Umno, be it in the open or indirectly, then it should be honest with the rakyat and with PKR, so the rakyat can properly judge the political parties at the ballot box," Rafizi said in a statement.

PKR deputy president Azmin Ali has said that PKR would continue negotiating with PAS to forge an electoral pact between Pakatan Harapan and PAS, to avoid three-cornered fights in GE14.

"If PAS has no such intention, and the Perak PAS chief's posting is merely his own strategy, then action should be taken for his daydreams because it has maligned PAS," Rafizi said.
