Spad: No missing link in ECRL, Port Klang-Gombak in Phase 2

There is no missing link in the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) railway scheme, said the Land Transport Commission (Spad).

The clarification comes after DAP's Damansara Utama assemblyperson Yeo Bee Yin questioned why the link between Gombak and Port Klang is missing from the public display at the commission's headquarters.

Spad said the display at its headquarters only shows sectors of the project ready for implementation while the Gombak to Port Klang links part of Phase 2 of the ECRL project.

"When due processes are completed and the extension is ready for execution, Spad will hold a public display of the conditionally approved railway scheme for this alignment prior to execution, as required under the the (Land Transport) Act," it said in a statement...
