The victims of a robbery and a rape case at a gambling joint in Bandar Kinrara Puchong on May 11 have lodged reports on the incident at the Serdang police station, yesterday.

Bernama quoted Serdang police chief ACP Megat Mohd Aminuddin Megat Alias as saying the Indonesian woman and a Bangladeshi man aged 33 and 44 respectively, made their reports at 6pm.

Megat told a press conference based on the victims' reports, the two suspects had entered the premises posing as customers before using a knife to threaten and rob the Bangladeshi and later taking turns to rape the woman in the toilet.

When the suspects fled, they also seized the foreigners' identification documents.

Fearing action from the authorities for not possessing documents, both the victims fled to a southern state without lodging reports on the incident, until yesterday.

The woman had been sent to the hospital for medical examination, said Megat, adding that one of the suspects, aged 26, was arrested in Kuala Selangor on Sunday, while the second man is still at large.

Megat also said that action would be taken against the gambling joint operator as the premises was registered as a cyber cafe but operated as a gambling centre, since early this month.

A CCTV clip of the rape incident has since gone viral on social media.
