Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president Muhyiddin Yassin, who was rumoured to be up for the presidency of the Pakatan Harapan leadership, is mum about the supposed leak.

It was reported earlier that Bersatu purportedly intends to propose that its chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Muhyiddin be appointed Pakatan Harapan chairperson and president respectively, with former PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim as the adviser.

However, when met by reporters after the Harapan presidential council meeting today at the Bersatu headquarters, Muhyiddin declined to answer any questions.

"No comment. We have already discussed (in the meeting), you will have to ask the chairperson (Wan Azizah Wan Ismail).

"I am just a member. I would like to talk to you, but I must abide by the rules.

"If it was my meeting, I will answer, until you have no more questions," Muhyiddin said, before leaving the Bersatu headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.

Reporters had attempted to ask him about Pakatan Harapan's prime minister candidate, Bersatu's proposal for the Harapan leadership lineup as well as general matters discussed during the presidential council meeting

In a press conference later, which was attended by Wan Azizah, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, Bersatu deputy president Mukhriz Mahathir, Pakatan Harapan secretariat chief Saifuddin Abdullah, among others, the leadership proposal was brought up again.

"We discussed everything in the meeting," Wan Azizah replied, when asked whether the presidential council talked about the reported Bersatu proposal for the Harapan leadership.

Saifuddin added that Muhyiddin denied during the meeting that the leaked proposal came from a Bersatu member.

Mukhriz, meanwhile, said such internal discussions within Pakatan Harapan should not have been leaked by anyone.

"So in our meeting today, we discussed at length about this issue and Insya-Allah, in one week I think, we will be able to come to a consensus," he said.

However, he remained coy when he was pressed on whether the leaked list was accurate.

"I am confirming that we had a different structure from the original one which was discussed," he said.

"Which was what was reported, yes?" the reporter asked.

"I would like to confirm that it is not necessarily the same structure," he replied.

In a Malay Mail Online report earlier today which quoted a source, it was said that Bersatu has also proposed that Wan Azizah be the Harapan deputy chairperson while PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali as the Harapan deputy president.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and Mohamad Sabu were suggested to be appointed as the coalition's vice-presidents.

Wan Azizah also said that Pakatan Harapan will be announcing their list of Harapan leadership and sending it to the Registrar of Societies (RoS) by next week.

"We are confident that the leadership line-up will bring change to Malaysian politics for the better," she said.

However, she said they have not discussed the matter about their prime minister candidate yet.

Meanwhile, she said that PKR leaders appointed to positions within the Kelantan state government will have to resign by the end of July.

"They are waiting until the middle quarter so I think it is end of July," she said, when asked about the estimated deadline for PKR leaders with positions in the Kelantan government to resign.

The PKR political bureau had on May 16 instructed all PKR leaders appointed to political positions under the PAS-led Kelantan government to resign.

This followed PAS' decision to formally sever ties with PKR.
