Penang inks MACC's corruption-free pledge, plus 10 recommendations

The Penang government has finally inked the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) anti-corruption pledge after its 10 recommendations on how to combat graft were included.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng read out the pledge loudly, echoed by his state executive council members, assemblypersons and department heads, before signing the document.

The signing ceremony was also witnessed by MACC chief commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmad and state chief Abdul Aziz Aban.

During his welcoming address, Lim said the MACC plus-10 integrity pledge is the first in Malaysia.

He pledged to govern the state with integrity, expressing that more efforts will be done to fight corruption...
