Two men have been arrested for hurling a Molotov cocktail into the compound of a surau in Damansara Damai on Sunday morning, according to NST Online.

The report stated that the incident occurred when a congregation of 20 were performing Subuh prayers at the Surau Al-Huda.

The men, who were on a motorcycle, threw the beer bottle containing the flammable substance into the compound and fled. The bottle landed near the surau entrance and a fire broke out.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Mohd Zani Che Din said no one was injured in the incident.

He said police have recorded statements from witnesses.

Police are investigating the case under Section 435 of the Penal Code for mischief by fire or explosive substance.
