Yoursay: A Sabahan comprador of the Malayans

YOURSAY | ‘The colonisation of Sabah and Sarawak is now brazenly out in the open.’

'Pro-M'sia' Pandikar rubbishes claims East and West M'sia were equal territories

Anonymous 243647147641472: There you have it, Sarawak. House speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia is pouring cold water in your pursuit of lost rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

How are you going to move forward when a fellow politician from Sabah says his rights has never been eroded or violated, an issue which is the very essence of Sarawak's struggle?

While PM Najib Abdul Razak said all Sarawak rights will be restored, his deputy said the exact opposite. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged all politicians not to politicise or manipulate the facts on the MA63.

Putrajaya, as most people believe, is never sincere in negotiating the lost rights. They are just stringing you along, Sarawak.

Sarawak CM Abang Johari Openg and company better realise this fact, sooner rather than later. Putrajaya cannot be trusted. They speak with a forked tongue.

It is time to review Sarawak as a fixed deposit for BN. Let Pandikar alone be the fixed deposit. He has betrayed the cause of Sabah and Sarawak and allowed himself to be used by Putrajaya.

Prudent: The colonisation of Sabah and Sarawak is now brazenly out in the open, championed by a Sabahan comprador of the Malayans.

Sabahans and Sarawakians, this is claiming that the two Borneo states willingly and with their eyes wide open, opted for second-class status in Malaysia.

And the future for Sabah and Sarawak? Ketuanan Melayu and Ketuanan Islam cometh... very fast, especially after GE14. They are already in Sabah, but now Ketuanan Melayu and Ketuanan Islam want to claim the Christian-majority state of Sarawak as well.

Wake up Sabah and Sarawak and boot out Umno-BN in GE14. This is likely to be your last chance to save yourselves.

If you vote Umno-BN into power again, they will take it that you accept Ketuanan Melayu and Ketuanan Islam ala Malaya.

You will also help to legalise the kleptocrats who will only be so willing to financially and serially rape Sarawak and Sabah.

Bornean: Pandikar, you should keep your opinion to yourself. We Sabahans feel differently.

Vgeorgemy: There is an agreement named MA63 between Sabah and Malaya to create the Federation of Malaysia.

The deal can only be done between similar status entities or persons, and this is the cardinal principles of any contractual agreement. Any other type is known as annexation, which is done forcefully in the pretext of historical claims.

Sabah’s case was an equal partnership and entered into legally-recognised contracts. This same status is recognised by the changing the name of the country from the Federation of Malaya to Federation of Malaysia.

All these issues need to be studied and considered before we impose state-sponsored history on Malaysians.

Annonymous: The late Sarawak CM Adenan Satem had declared that Sarawak was a founding state of the Federation of Malaysia, along with Singapore, Sabah, Sarawak and Malaya.

“We are a party to the Malaysia Agreement signed in 1963. When you are party to the agreement, you are equal in status,” he was quoted as saying.

Isn't this a historical fact that this alleged traitor is now trying to twist and he thinks the people of Sabah and Sarawak are stupid?

The people of Sabah and Sarawak are already unhappy and in fact are very angry with all the former leaders who blatantly sold out Sabah's and Sarawak's rights, autonomy and sovereignty, and being constantly discriminated against as well as the daylight robbery of their rich resources in the last 52 years, making Sabah and Sarawak the poorest countries in the federation.

Why Sarawak has its own immigration rule if it is not an independent state? Why would the discriminated Ibans, Kadazans, Dayaks and other natives who are Christians - the majority in Sabah and Sarawak - want an Umno Muslim leader to rule over them forever?

Give him a speaker's post and now he shamelessly declared Sabah is just an insignificant state in Malaysia. Even when I was a kid in school we were taught that Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak were, and are, equal partners with Malaya and it is very dangerous for this speaker to state otherwise.

Pandikar’s book "Berpisah Tiada" (Never Separated) is a very desperate and stupid move and a further insult to the people of Sabah and Sarawak.

This desperate act will further anger the people and they will certainly rise and make them pay in the coming election for all their sins committed against the people of Sabah and Sarawak.

Worried Sick: Indeed, if Pandikar goes on like this, he will be the cause of BN losing its majority in Parliament.

When the people of Sabah wake up and realise what Pandikar is telling the whole world, they will rise up and demand their rights.

If those demands are not met, BN is going to learn a bitter lesson from this episode. All the votes will go to the opposition.

Caripasal: What are the poverty rate and education level in Sabah and Sarawak compared to the poorest states in the peninsula, such as Kelantan and Terengganu?

Why are bumiputeras in Sabah and Sarawak different from bumiputeras in the Peninsular?

Anonymous 19811504508400: Pandikar, you have the right to have your own opinion. That does not mean that you are right.

Others do not agree with you. They have also done research and read and studied documents by Tunku Abdul Rahman' and his speeches.

And they assert that Sabah and Sarawak were independent states partnering with Malaya as equal states to form a new and independent Malaysia.

Odin Tajué: Of course, Sabah and Sarawak are not equal to Malaya. They are colonies of Malaya - and have been so since Malaysia came into existence.
