PARLIAMENT | The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will not compromise its integrity despite its Yayasan Prihatin receiving an RM5 million allocation from Putrajaya.
"The contribution would not affect or compromise the integrity and professionalism of MACC because the execution of duty (is) based on the jurisdiction stipulated under MACC Act 2009," said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Paul Low in a parliamentary reply dated today to Lim Kit Siang (DAP-Gelang Patah).
Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had previously announced the RM5 million allocation to the foundation as part of efforts to ensure the welfare of MACC officers.
