Dr M, wife surrender S'gor awards
Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali returned their awards to the Selangor palace after Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah called the former prime minister an angry man with an inferiority complex that would burn down the country.
Mahathir complimented his wife as one who stood by him in good and bad times.
The Selangor palace said it will issue a statement as soon as it can confirm the awards have been returned.
Zaid stands by criticism of S'gor sultan
Former minister Zaid Ibrahim stood by his criticism of the Selangor sultan, stating that he was not defending Mahathir but making a point that constitutional monarchs should not get involved in politics.
Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said the Selangor sultan's stand against playing up sensitive issues was timely.
Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos, who was arrested for allegedly threatening violence against Zaid, was released after his remand expired.
US lawyer to rope in Dr M to free Anwar
Anwar Ibrahim's US lawyer Kimberley Motley said she wants Mahathir's help to free the PKR de facto leader from prison.
