Seputeh MP Teresa Kok has denied taking to Twitter to criticise residents complaining about water rationing in Klang Valley.
Kok said a screenshot of the tweet that is circulating on social media is fake.
"Once again someone has made a fake tweet using my name and picture.
"I have never written a tweet like this. Damn those who fake my tweets," she said.
The fake tweet read: “There was no water in the desert during the Prophet's time but people can survive, what are the problems faced by common people these days?"
Sekali lagi ada orang buat tweet palsu atas nama dan gambar saya. Saya tak pernah tulis tweet spt ini. Celaka orang yg palsukan tweet saya.😡 https://t.co/0l6VyIyrup

Earlier, Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Mohd Razlan Muhammad Rafii questioned if Kok had deleted the tweet.
"This has gone viral and is sensitive to Muslims.
"I advise Kok to respect Malaysians. We do not want a culture of hate between religions among the people.
"If it is slander, Kok should issue a denial and if it is true, Kok should apologise to Muslims and Malaysians," he said.
The screenshot of the fake tweet included a prior tweet, which contained a number of anomalies – such as a missing time stamp, and the lack of retweet and like buttons.
Parts of Klang Valley have been hit by water rationing pending repairs to the SSP3 Water Treatment Plant.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said the repairs were completed at 5pm today ahead of the estimated time.
However, Syabas said a "surge vessel system burst" incident occurred as the plant was about to be brought online.
"This incident caused serious injuries to staff on site.
"Following this unexpected incident, the supply restoration has been extended," it said.
