SUPP tells S’wakians to vote for home-grown parties

The Stakan branch of the Sarawak People’s Party (SUPP) has called on voters in the state to choose home-grown political parties to be stewards of the state government.

This instead of voting for Malayan-based parties (political parties that originate from Peninsular Malaysia).

In a statement today, Stakan branch party members said they were disappointed with voters who are leaning towards parties like DAP and PKR in certain constituencies.

“We resolutely stand by the leadership of our party president Dr Sim Kui Hian and the administration of the state by Chief Minister Abang Johari Abang Openg,” they said.

“We are perplexed and disappointed with the voters who chose the leadership of the opposition in Sarawak namely DAP and PKR as these parties do not place Sarawak ‘as first’on their agenda.

“DAP and PKR being Malayan political parties are obligated to kowtow and are submissive to their Malayan masters because they both receive instructions from their masters in Malaya,” said the statement.

“We in Sarawak have seen this in action with the installation of a Malayan from Perak as the PKR chief in Sarawak and the sacking of Fung Pau Teck in Pujut Miri by DAP oligarchs in Malaya.

“SUPP Stakan calls for the Sarawakians in DAP and PKR to either join us in SUPP for our fight towards the restoring of our rights in MA63.

“Join a Sarawakian political party or by all means form your own local-based political party. We ask you to put Sarawak first,” they added.

The Stakan SUPP branch also called on Sarawakians to reject the “poisonous” leadership of Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“The opposition leader and choice for prime minister, Mahathir, is the very person who created racial division and tensions in Malaysia by supporting the ultra-right extremist movement,” their statement said.

“The opposition and people in Sarawak should reject this ‘poisonous’ leadership of Mahathir. SUPP Stakan urges all Sarawakians to not make the costly mistake by turning the clock backwards,” it said.
