GE14 | Caretaker prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has downplayed the likelihood of a ‘Malay tsunami’, stressing that Malays have not turned up at Pakatan Harapan's ceramah around the country.

Instead, he said that the crowd at these ceramah were DAP supporters.

"If we see, the opposition ceramah are in towns and those present are not Malays. Most of them are DAP supporters," he said during a live interview on TV3 tonight.

The interview was also aired live on Najib's Facebook page.

Najib also reiterated his claim that Harapan had bussed in supporters from outside.

"That is why I said, at my gatherings, I don't need big crowds... I’d rather have 10,000 locals than 20,000 people who are from outside," he said.

In the interview, Najib also stressed that BN's support remains intact.

"I see this from the places I visit, the reports I get and also the visits done by my deputy and senior ministers. I see the real situation.

"This is not the social media game. This is the reality on the ground. Our political base is still strong.

"We know where our strengths are, and we also know where our weaknesses are," he said.

Tomorrow will be the last day of campaigning. Polling will take place on Wednesday.
