Perlis exco finally sworn in, Shahidan's brother a no-show

Published on  |  Modified on

Eight BN state assemblypersons have been sworn in as executive council members today, putting uncertainties over the formation of the state government to rest.

Tambun Tulang assemblyperson Ismail Kassim was the only Perlis BN assemblyperson who was absent from the ceremony at Istana Arau today.

This means that Ismail is the only BN lawmaker without a position on the state exco.

Meanwhile, Titi Tinggi assemblyperson Teh Chai Aan has now become the sole MCA state exco member in the country.

His portfolio covers natural resources, environment, biotechnology, green technology and health.

As of the fourth quarter of 2017, the entire state of Perlis had 150,221 registered voters - which is fewer than the number of voters within the Damansara parliamentary constituency in Selangor.
