A Grab driver believed to have been murdered was found in his vehicle with strangulation marks on his neck at a parking lot in Kuala Lumpur last night, according to Bernama.
Gombak deputy police chief Tey Kong Seng told Bernama that the victim, Aiman Nosri, 27, was found in the backseat of his Perodua Myvi with his head on the floor and legs upright.
Bernama reports that the Forensic Unit of the Selangor police headquarters found two mobile phones, a pair of shoes and socks, a pair of slippers and a shirt in the car, but no weapons.
Tey also stated that the victim's body was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Aiman was said to have last ferried passengers from Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock to Selayang Baru at 9.34pm on Thursday.
Sean Goh, the head Grab Malaysia, said in a statement that Aiman was "a hard-working and a top performing driver, and based on passengers' feedback, he was well appreciated by his passengers."
Goh also requested that the deceased personal driver details are not shared in public.
"On behalf of both PDRM and Grab, we request that everyone refrain from sharing his personal data in public spaces like social media, or sharing speculation and rumours regarding this matter.
"We would like to respect the privacy of the family and the ongoing investigation," he said, adding that any members of the public with any information on the case should report directly to the authorities.
