Umno Sungai Besar division chief Jamal Yunos will be extradited from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur at 11am (Indonesian time) via flight MH710, said his lawyer Imran Tamrin in a statement today.
"His flight will arrive at 2.15pm," Imran told Malaysiakini.
Meanwhile, Selangor Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief senior assistant commissioner Fadzil Ahmat said upon Jamal's arrival, he will be taken to the Ampang Magistrate's Court.
"Jamal will be charged under Section 224 of the Penal Code for escaping from police custody," he said in a statement.
Fadzil added that the Umno leader also has two arrest warrants on him which were issued by the court on May 25 for offences under Section 448 of the Penal Code.
Imran said when he visited Jamal on Tuesday, the latter appeared to be in good health, although he looked tired.
"The Indonesian police took good care of him... I was informed that they provided all necessities and medicine to Jamal," he said.
Imran added that the Indonesian police had recorded Jamal's statement yesterday.
Additionally, at 9.15pm, he was taken to the Immigration Department where officers recorded his statement, with assistance from his Indonesian lawyer Adherie Zulfikri.
Imran, who is also Sungai Panjang assemblyperson, said he and Jamal's family had thanked the Indonesian police and Immigration Department, as well as the Malaysian Embassy and police, for taking good care of Jamal while he was in detention.
Jamal was arrested in Tebet, South Jakarta, on Monday and temporarily detained at the republic's central police headquarters before his deportation this morning.
He was first detained by police on May 22 while seeking treatment at the Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital.
On May 25, while in hospital, Jamal was charged but he absconded during the bail process.
The former red-shirts leader is wanted for various offences, including under Section 290 of the Penal Code concerning public nuisance, and Section 34 of the Arms Act 1960 which concerns the carrying of a firearm while drunk or disorderly.
