Energy, Technology, Science, Climate Change and Environment Deputy Minister Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis has denied allegations that she was involved in an affair with her married officer.

"I would like to stress that I was not involved in whatever was alleged by a blog which mentioned my name.

"The blog's article has malicious intentions in humiliating and threatening my integrity as a representative of the people," she said in a Facebook posting today.

Isnaraissah, who is also the Kota Belud MP, lodged a police report yesterday afternoon over the matter.

Last Saturday, blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin claimed on his blog that Isnaraissah, who is not married, was having an affair with her married aide.

He also claimed the wife of the aide had lodged a police report alleging that her husband assaulted her after she confronted him over the supposed affair.

Raja Petra further alleged that the police had already investigated the case and claimed that Isnaraissah admitted to having the affair.

However, in Isnaraissah's police report, she stressed that she was not involved at all in the case.

"I have lodged this report to clear the name of my family and myself and also for the writer to be investigated," she said.
