Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng today tabled the Pakatan Harapan government’s maiden budget in the Dewan Rakyat.

Budget 2019 is positioned by the government towards fulfilling “the people’s expectations to rebuild and restore the nation’s glory” and immediately addressing “the scale of wrongdoings of the past kleptocratic government”, as indicated by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad in the Economic Outlook 2019 document.

The total budget is RM314.55 billion, of which RM259.85 billion is for the operating expenditure and RM54.7 billion is for the development expenditure.
