PAS' funds come from more than one million members - Hadi
PAS funds come from having over one million members, said party president Abdul Hadi Awang today.
"So don't be confused about where PAS gets its money from," Hadi said at a press conference in Marang, Terengganu.
He added the large membership base were even able to set up thousands of pre-schools and hundreds of schools.
A video of the press conference was uploaded onto Facebook.
Hadi was commenting on the MACC's probe into allegations the party received RM90 million from former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.
PAS has denied the allegation.
Nevertheless, Hadi said the party will give its full cooperation to the MACC.
However, he said other parties should also be investigated.
"Investigate DAP and Amanah [...] probe from where these parties got money to spend during the elections," he said.
So, Hadi, are you now admitting that what Sarawak Report mentioned about some PAS leaders buying luxury cars, bungalows and having second or third wives, etc is true except that the funds are coming from the Pasti kindergartens and PAS members? The rakyat are not so stupid as to believe you. Furthermore, even if what you said is true, the money belongs to PAS so how come a few PAS leaders are taking party funds for personal enjoyment? Isn’t that stealing party funds? Now, no need to be shy and just admit that the funds are from Najib as per the Sarawak Report article. After all, you dare not continue with the lawsuit against Sarawak Report. If the Pasti kindergartens and PAS members can provide RM 90 million for the enjoyment of some PAS leaders, what is a few more millions to continue with the lawsuit? The settlement is an admission that what Sarawak Report wrote is totally true. Hope all the PAS leaders enjoy the luxury cars and wives. After all, despite wearing the Arab garbs and towels on the heads daily and spouting some religious sounding Arabic verses, you guys are proven to be just common politicians with the same tastes for expensive cars and ladies. Luckily, the hudud laws are not implemented in Kelantan or else I would pity if you guys have to face the hudud law for corruption which is just another form of stealing. You guys are now known for not just stealing but are also proven liars. Nik Abduh is now proven to be a liar as he initially denied being the person in the voice recording. He had also not dared to sue Sarawak Report. Nasharuddin is now also proven to be a liar as he did not dare to sue Rafizi over allegations of being the conduit for money paid by Najib. As for you, I would say Malaysians now believe you are also a liar for not daring to continue with the lawsuit against Sarawak Report. So, despite all the huffing and thumping of chests, you guys are proven to be nothing but ordinary politicians donning some Arab garbs. Did one ex-CJ say that muslims don’t lie? I guess you guys must have disappointed him. Malaysians will await the outcome of the MACC investigations and see what will happen next. Like millions of Malaysians, I do hope that there is no political interference and that the outcome of the investigation will be a factual report. We shall then see the quality of the current bunch of PAS leaders although we already have seen how some of you guys behave. As some UMNO people said, you guys come cheap. Just RM 90 million is enough to bring down a party which has been in existence for 60+ years. It is such a pity as PAS did produce some very good leaders in the past. I guess that your recent statement about muslims should vote for a muslim leader despite the leader being known to be corrupt is meant to encourage PAS members to continue voting for the current PAS leaders even if they are proven to be corrupt. So much for a party trying to project a religious image. The party has totally failed due to the current leadership.
