Deputy IGP: We have received report on sex clip, will verify authencity
Deputy IGP Mazlan Mansor has confirmed that police say they are investigating a report lodged over a sex video featuring a man resembling a cabinet minister.
"I confirm that we have received the report and we will investigate it, the first step being to verify the authenticity of the video," he said.
The report was lodged yesterday by an individual believed to be Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam ....

"I confirm that we have received the report and we will investigate it, the first step being to verify the authenticity of the video," he said.
The report was lodged yesterday by Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam.
When contacted earlier by Malaysiakini, Lokman said he had lodged the report at Putrajaya police headquarters.
"It's under the purview of Kajang police, as I mentioned in the report that I saw the clip when I was in Kajang," he disclosed.
Selangor police chief Commissioner Noor Azam Jamaludin confirmed that a report was received on the sex video.
"The report has been referred to the federal Criminal Investigation Department for them to conduct an investigation," he said in reply to a text message from Malaysiakini today.
Earlier today, Muhammad Haziq Abdullah (photo), the senior private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, claimed that he was one of the persons shown in the video.
A video of the admission was posted on his Facebook page.
When contacted on whether it has started investigations pertaining to the now viral video clip, the Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) spokesperson said "Not yet."
Yesterday, Malaysiakini reported that the video clip was systematically sent to members of the media and political party members.
Journalists were added into various WhatsApp groups into which the video was uploaded.
Yesterday, Lokman had also lodged an MACC report against the minister purportedly featured in the sex video over the alleged transfer of millions into a foreign account.
