The developer by the name of Sanctuary Gasing who is proposing a bungalow development on Bukit Gasing today offered a general response which leaves project details unanswered.
Its director Richard See, in a statement faxed via PR agency Arc Worldwide this evening, said that "details of the proposed development will rightly only be finalised after satisfactory completion" of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) study.
"A variety of stakeholders are involved including relevant authorities, academic and technical experts and also existing residents in the region.
"We would like to reiterate what has already been communicated to all parties including residents, through our appointed public relations agency, that these efforts are on-going...
"Sanctuary Gasing will continue to seek feedback from interested parties."
International group
In the statement which bore no letterhead except for a logo on the top right, See described the company as "an international group (that) is currently exploring the development potential of several privately owned projects in Kuala Lumpur".
This, he said, included "a proposed low-density bungalow development near Bukit Kerinchi within Mukim Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan".
"As a responsible developer, a variety of studies and consultations involving different parties are being undertaken early during conceptualisation.
"This includes independent (EIA) examinations addressing planning, physical and sociological issues."
See also clarified the appointment of a public relations agency "solely to facilitate and coordinate communications to all parties concerned on behalf of Sanctuary Gasing".
Yesterday, residents from the three Gasing Condominiums (Fraser, Cameron and Maxwell Towers) and nearby housing estates convened a press conference to highlight the high level of secrecy surrounding the proposed project.
