Yoursay: Cracks already appearing in Perikatan gov’t?

YOURSAY | ‘Umno wants control. Those facing charges are in the leadership of Umno. They are restless.’

Azalina joins chorus of PN MPs expressing unhappiness over cabinet

Vijay47: I just cannot shake off this feeling that all this is part of a great snow-job, to show us that even within the ruling coalition, there is dissatisfaction over the prize-allocation among the various parties.

The script is that if there are some who are pleased and others unhappy, it must surely mean that the post-distribution was a carefully thought plan for the benefit of, yes, the people. It is not a back-door marriage of convenience to retain power. So, the story goes and every man has a role to play.

And we, the naïve public, will believe that there are people in Umno who actually would oppose their bosses, ‘malu’ or not.

Good try, former minister Azalina Othman Said, but no Oscar for you.

David Dass: This is where cracks and fissures appear. Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has to balance things.

He needs control to stay in power. Umno wants control. Those facing charges are in the leadership of Umno. They are restless.

There is the issue of credibility of the new government. It’s difficult to see how this will play out.

Redmann: Azalina makes out like Umno deserves this and that when she conveniently forgets that this "government" betrayed voters' rights under the rule of law.

PMPB (Parti Masuk Pintu Belakang) should not last long when Article 43(4) Federal Constitution is invoked at the next parliamentary sitting.

Odysseus: Indeed, to those who disagree or who felt they should be appointed minister or deputy minister, you will have your chance to record your disagreement during Parliament sitting and cast your no-confidence vote against PN.

FairMalaysian: This is a group of rejects cobbled together with each formed out of hatred. Hatred against the non-Malays, hatred against the DAP, hatred against PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim.

Is this a lucky government? Yes and no. This year is a year they will get together and this is also the year they will bicker a lot. My premonition says come 2021, they will break up.

Pakatan Harapan, that is, whatever remains, just wait it out, the frogs will come visiting and you will get your chance next year, assisted by the divine stars.

But if you want to enjoy biting the dust, then be close with the old man (former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad).

If you want to succeed, run 100 miles away from the old man. He is very toxic and he will join some extremists to spoil the party. But don't worry, you will succeed as long as you keep the old man far.

If all this doesn't come true (don't worry it will come true, it is only if) then don't bother, but if it comes true buy me a brewed coffee and give the rakyat the best government in the world.

They did it through deceit and tyranny. But the divine stars will move in to clear the mist. After June, you will start to see some of the indications and towards the end of the year that will gain momentum.

There needs to be some divine intervention to reset the course of this nation so that it doesn't get destroyed. Her prayers will be answered. Who is that "her"?

Maybe she knows, maybe she doesn't. I will tell you one day. Don't cheat her and think you can get away with it. Yes, this country needs divine intervention. Otherwise, it will go to the dogs.

AnotherKomentar: These seemingly disgruntled grievances engineered by Umno is to put public pressure on PM8 (Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin), as well as explicit demands for plum appointments on federal agencies, statutory bodies, envoys, etc.

Mahathir is correct, current MPs are now prostituting themselves for the right price - to cross, to stay, to dissolve parliament.

PM8 is a prisoner and hostage of these wolves, his de facto deputy Azmin Ali will soon complete his treachery with Umno-PAS.

Solo: Umno, 39, Bersatu, 30, PAS, 18, GPS, 18.

Bersatu is expecting Umno to behave like PKR and DAP by giving Bersatu more cabinet members as well as key ministries.

I think Umno will be happy to get the attorney general's post and stamp Umno cases NFA (no further action)!

Barclux: I suppose the PM chose his candidates for the cabinet after consultation with the police and MACC.

And for heavens’ sake, stop complaining. You have a cabinet which is 90 percent Malay and these fellows are complaining MCA has got more senators?

When will this ever stop? Hello, is anybody out there interested in the welfare and well-being of the rakyat?

CH Y: The bigger the cabinet, the more inefficient it becomes during cabinet meetings.

It is a known fact that only 30 percent will actively participate in any organisation meetings once you hit a size above 30 due to lack of time and indifference.

One: It looks like it is not about having more Malay ministers in the cabinet. It is not about the welfare of Malays. It is about more gravy for Umno…

Anonymous_2679c6e5: Azalina is right. In fact, there should be 114 ministers and deputy ministers instead of the 70 now so that everyone is rewarded for their support of PM8.

Similarly, every civil servant should be appointed as director-general and managers of their respective ministries. The supporting staff can be appointed from the vast pool of Bangladeshis, Nepalis, and Indonesians.

Gaji Buta: I am so proud that we have people in our nation who are willing to lie, cheat, backstab, betray, forgo all moral and ethical values, and even sell their dignity, so that they can serve the people.

I am so blessed to be a Malaysian.

Hang Babeuf: The problem to which our saintly Azalina calls attention is, in pragmatic terms, easily fixed.

Just make her a minister too, Muhyiddin, and all will be sweet.
