On the death case, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the victim had been hospitalised for heart complications and broken legs, which he sustained in an accident early this year.

However, according to him, the victim was not infected with Covid-19 at the hospital and probably caught it at home.

"He was treated in the ward and had already suffered from valvular heart disease. And added with another infection (of Covid-19), so there are three complications.

"First is lung inflammation, followed by blood clotting phenomenon and low immunity. All these can lead to death at a young age," he said.
