Two Selangor reps positive for Covid-19 after returning from Sabah
Two Selangor state assemblypersons have separately revealed that they have tested positive for Covid-19 today after returning from Sabah.
They are PKR’s Kota Damansara assemblyperson Shatiri Mansor and DAP’s Kampung Tunku assemblyperson Lim Yi Wei (above)
In a statement this evening, 31-year-old Lim said she was notified today about her positive test result following a second swab test she conducted on Oct 2.

In a statement this evening, 31-year-old Lim said she was notified today about her positive test result following a second swab test she conducted on Oct 2.
Lim, who went to Sabah to campaign during the state polls, took her first swab test upon her arrival at KLIA2 on Sept 27.
"On Sept 30, I contacted the Petaling Jaya Health District office to find out my results. They were negative. I was asked to come the next day to remove my bracelet.
"However, I experienced some symptoms associated with Covid-19," she said.
She said she and her team had self-quarantined since returning home from Sabah and that her team members all tested negative in their first swab test.
They will be doing a second test, she added.
"I apologise to all Ministry of Health staff, my colleagues, and all who are inconvenienced, despite all precautions taken and self-quarantine since Day 1.
"I also urge all who have been in contact with me for the last 14 days to do screening at the nearest health clinic," Lim said.
She was in Sabah to campaign for Warisan Plus' Bingkor candidate Peter Saili who is from DAP. Bingkor is one of three state seats under Keningau, which is 120km away from the state capital of Kota Kinabalu.
Meanwhile, Shatiri (above) said in a video uploaded on Facebook today that he had gone to campaign in the Sabah state election with seven others from his service centre, and was tested upon arriving at KLIA2 on Sept 27.
On Sept 30, he said the Health Ministry informed his wife that she had tested positive for Covid-19 and was brought to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.
While he and the others tested negative, he was required to undergo a second Covid-19 test on Oct 2 because he and his family are close contacts of his wife.
“Today on Oct 5, I have received a call from a doctor at the Petaling district health office stating that I am positive for Covid-19,” he said.
In addition, he said two of his sons had also tested positive for the disease, and all three will be brought to the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
Nevertheless, he reassured that none of his family members and service centre workers had left home and those who tested negative remain quarantined at home until Oct 16.
His service centre will operate as usual and is run by workers who did not travel to Sabah.
