Dr Chris Anthony: Respect for elders is a quality which Malaysians of all races cherish very dearly. Khairy Jamaluddin has demonstrated that this virtue of ours is irrelevant to the younger generation. His behaviour had shown that he has no respect for senior and veteran leaders from other BN parties.

Racial unity did not suddenly fall from the sky. It has been so dearly cultivated by our past leaders and this should not be destroyed by racist remarks such as Khairy's for political mileage. I hope Khairy will follow the example of his father-in-law, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, and be more sensitive to the feelings of fellow Malaysians from the minority groups.
