MAS frequent flyer programme suffers 'data security incident'
Malaysia Airlines said its Enrich frequent flyer programme has suffered a 'data security incident' involving its members' personal information.

According to a notice sent by the airline to Enrich members, the incident involved members' names, date of birth, gender, contact details, frequent flyer number, frequent flyer status and frequent flyer tier level.
It did not include any information about itineraries, reservations, ticketing or any ID card or payment card information.
The data involved covers the period between June 2019 and March 2010
However, the airline did not elaborate on the nature of the 'incident', other than it was notified of the incident by one of its third-party IT service providers.
"Malaysia Airlines has no evidence that any personal data has been misused, and the incident did not disclose any account passwords.
"We are nevertheless encouraging Enrich members to change their account passwords as a precautionary measure," the airline added.
Malaysia Airlines also advised members that the airline will not be contacting them by phone to update their personal information.
MAS..Mana Ada System...that is why from too down nothing works. MAS is for middle men to be millionaires ... If MAS is to compete a total overhaul is needed ...minus racial issues.
MAS is a problem child. Always get into headlines for the wrong reasons. Yet the Rakyat has to keep it going by pouring good money to chase bad money. No person seems to be responsible and accountable. How much longer must the Rakyat endure this long and loss making venture? Almost 100% is of one race. Die die must continue. Failure is not an option to this race. No money Govt bails out with Rakyat money.
