Saifuddin Abdullah tests positive for Covid-19
Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah has tested positive for Covid-19.
A representative from his office told the media that the minister hasn't been vaccinated yet and was waiting to be inoculated together with press members.
His office said the test results came in last night. It did not specify how he became infected.

Malaysiakini learnt that Saifuddin (above) did not attend the cabinet meeting yesterday.
"Saifuddin will undergo quarantine with close monitoring by the Health Ministry.
"For now, he is being quarantined at home while waiting to be warded in a hospital," the minister's office said in a statement today.
Private hospitals have reported that they are running out of Covid-19 beds and public hospitals are also believed to be overburdened.
As of yesterday, there were 26,719 active Covid-19 cases in the country.
Saifuddin's last public appearance was in Kuantan, Pahang on April 24.
On that day, he attended two events - one to hand out aid to a group of disabled recipients, the second being a Finas event with 116 participants.
Saifuddin's office said that he will be monitoring his ministry's work while in quarantine.
