2 million expected to lose ‘fully vaccinated’ status next week
Two million people in the country are expected to lose their “fully vaccinated” status on MySejahtera as of next Friday (April 1) based on projections, said Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin today.

This projected figure involves Sinovac recipients over 18 years old and senior citizens above 60 who previously received any vaccine, and who failed to get a booster shot before the end of this month.
At a broadcast press conference today, the minister revealed as of now, 2.09 million Sinovac recipients have yet to receive their booster, which may lead to them losing their “fully vaccinated” status.
The deadline to get a booster jab for the elderly and Sinovac recipients was originally set for Feb 28 but was pushed back an extra month to March 31.
The efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines wanes over time and Sinovac, in particular, suffers a sharp drop in protection after three months.
The minister also revealed that this was synonymous with Singapore which also recognises a Sinovac recipient "fully vaccinated” if they have received their booster dose.
"By way of encouraging (those who have not received their booster), I have liaised with the Singapore health minister, who also considers fully vaccinated for Sinovac to be three doses.
"So, if you want to enjoy your trip to Singapore with no quarantine, then you know what to do," he said after announcing that mandatory quarantine and testing for land travellers between Malaysia and Singapore will be dropped.
Those who are travelling by air, however, are still required to test two days prior to their departure.
However, they will not be subjected to quarantine or testing upon their arrival into the country.
