Active cases stood at 120,593, down 41.7 percent compared to 14 days ago. As of yesterday, the R-number for the country is 0.84. An R-number of less than 1.00 suggests that the spread of Covid-19 was decelerating.

Negeri Sembilan (552)
Perak (470)
Penang (345)

There have been 380 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 2,235 deaths last month and 770 deaths in February.

Malaysia has the highest number of deaths per capita in the Asean and East Asian regions with 1,068 deaths per 1 million population, and the fourth-worst in Asia after Iran, Lebanon and Jordan – all in the Middle East.

The highest deaths were reported in Selangor (7) followed by Malacca (3), Perak (3), Johor (2), Kedah (2), Pahang (2), Kelantan (1), Sabah (1) and Kuala Lumpur (1).

There are 2,599 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 161 are in intensive care.

Hospitalisation rates have been trending down steadily along with the downtrend of new daily cases.
