COVID-19 | Another 1,877 new Covid-19 cases was reported yesterday, while active cases continue on a steady decline.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Another two deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,680 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There were 129 Covid-19 deaths last month, 564 deaths in April and 2,235 in March.

There are 945 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 29 are in intensive care.

As with active Covid-19 cases, the number of daily admissions and patients in intensive care have been stable over the past week.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (175) followed by Johor (84) and Sabah (69).
