Worried about floods? Don't field candidates then - Penang BN chief
Penang Umno and BN chairperson Musa Sheikh Fadzir has chided the state governments that he claims are using the year-end floods as an excuse to avoid the general election.

Penang Umno and BN chairperson Musa Sheikh Fadzir has chided the state governments that he claims are using the year-end floods as an excuse to avoid the general election.
He told them not to field candidates in the upcoming 15th general election (GE15) if they are serious about the people’s safety.
“If they really do not want the people to suffer then don’t field your candidates for the parliamentary election.
“They speak as if they are helping the people, but they are burdening the people by making them vote twice,” Musa (above) said at a press conference after a Bukit Mertajam Umno delegate meet in Prai.
He was referring to the recent Pakatan Harapan decision to not dissolve the state governments it leads, namely that of Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Penang.
This is despite the Penang Harapan chapter proposing to dissolve its legislative assembly based on grassroots demands.

“The Penang chief minister wanted to dissolve the state legislative assembly. I cannot say that he is a coward, but his party leadership does not want to dissolve the state assembly,” Musa added.
He revealed that BN will field an MCA candidate for the Bukit Mertajam parliamentary seat and the Bagan parliamentary constituency where DAP chairperson Lim Guan Eng is the incumbent.
He said Penang Umno already submitted their candidate list for parliamentary and state constituencies, of which 60 percent are new faces.

“For Umno and BN, it is the same for us whether the state dissolves the state assembly to pave way for state polls simultaneously, it makes no difference,” he added.
Commenting on 1MDB, Musa called on the government to investigate RM700 million of the company’s funds which were allegedly received by 250 individuals.
He also urged the authorities to investigate former attorney-general Tommy Thomas’s allegations in his book and take him to court if they are untrue.
“Why only prosecute Umno leaders, but not others who are wrongdoers?” he said.
Hello, what a stupid analogy ! Where’s your brain ? No wonder UMNO is the most hated party in the country.
