Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin said he felt proud to be called “Father of MCO” because the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) during his time as prime minister had saved many lives from Covid-19.

"(Opposition leader) Anwar Ibrahim said I'm the ‘father of MCO’ but he didn't realise that if during that time I didn't implement the MCO, many more lives would have been lost due to Covid-19.
