Show us your account and I’ll reveal ours, Muhyiddin dares Anwar

Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin said today he was willing to reveal the coalition's coffers details if PKR president Anwar Ibrahim did the same with Pakatan Harapan's funds.

Speaking to reporters in Johor Bahru, Muhyiddin also dared the Harapan chairperson to provide evidence of his claims earlier today that PN is the richest coalition among those contesting in the 15th general election (GE15).

"What is the evidence? If I need to reveal our bank account, I can show it.

"Can he? Can Anwar show Harapan's accounts?" said Muhyiddin while on the campaign trail for PN's Johor Bahru candidate Mohd Mohtaj Yacob in Stulang Laut.

"We are a new party. We don't have that many resources.

"We just have people who feel they want to help us, that's it," said Muhyiddin.

"I challenge him. Can he prove it? If he can't prove it, then he's a bluff. He's a massive liar!

"If he lies, then we should not believe him," stressed Muhyiddin.

Earlier today, Utusan Malaysia quoted Anwar as alleging that PN had emerged to be the richest among coalitions during Muhyiddin's stint as prime minister due to allegedly benefiting from billions in government contracts directly awarded during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In Bagan Datuk, Perak, Anwar reportedly claimed the projects include an RM18 billion Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) contract as the sole 5G connection licence holder.

Muhyiddin was sworn in as prime minister in March, 2020, and remained in office for 17 months before being replaced by Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Muhyiddin, however, remained in government as the National Recovery Council chairperson, despite breaking ranks with BN in the months leading up to GE15.
