A Bersatu supreme council leader has hit out at the government's sharing of perceived "propaganda" through official SMS from the Digital Communications Ministry.
Muhammad Faiz Na'aman (above) referred to an SMS from the ministry that justified the formation of a "unity government" as a constitutional solution to post-GE15 uncertainties due to no single party winning enough seats to form a simple majority.
"This is an example of how official government channels are abused for subtle politickings.

"These types of propaganda are like the mechanisms of a communist or dictatorial government out to brainwash the people or force them into accepting the government's narrative," said Faiz.
He questioned whether the government was afraid or lacks confidence in public acceptance towards them, and therefore resorted to sending such messages.
"By right, any official SMS from the government should be used to share about matters of public interest, emergencies, or any services for the people," he said.
