Who is really stupid?

Singapore is not a country? Corruption is assessed and is prevalent based on size and population? What criteria coming from the very 'clever' man!

On Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

KSN: Nazri's remarks about Singapore reveal as clear as daylight who is really stupid - him or Lim. Singapore is not a country? Corruption is assessed and is prevalent based on size and population? What criteria coming from the very 'clever' man!

If a man with such shallow understanding and reasoning of things is not stupid, I do not know what to call him. He must be thinking and reasoning not with his brains, if he has any, but with some other parts of his anatomy.

And he is our cabinet minister!

On Hishammuddin gunning for vice-presidency?

Surina: I don't think Hishammuddin is qualified to be one of Umno's VP. He is not matured yet and very childish. Muhyiddin Yassin is a more capable leader. He should become the deputy premier (not Najib) and should become premier after Pak Lah.

On Hindu temples: MIC 'all talk no action'

Nirmala Naidu: Aren't there enough temples already? Do we need more? The community wants to build more and more temples and compete with each other as to who can build a bigger and more elaborate temple. God never asked for all this frivolous temples.

Your heart needs to be renovated, not the temples. Your minds need to be built toward sincerity and honesty. For heaven's sake, stop building temples. Hinduism is a way of life.

On Gov't criticises US trafficking blacklist

Concerned: It is not surprising that Malaysia has been blacklisted. How can the country be not blacklisted if the government is lackadaisical? The whole country has illegals working openly at food outlets, roadside stalls and perhaps factories and even households.

If the country is not prepared to completely weed out these illegals, we will have a big problem. The government has lost all respect with regards to efficient enforcement of the entry laws into the country. This is due to possible corruption amongst the immigration and police personnel.

Now that the can of worms has been opened, the PM must personally get involved to tackle the matter.

On Kelantan gov't to rebuild church

Ernest Devadason: It was with utter grief and sadness that I'd been following the decision on appeal of Lina Joy to be legally called a Christian, a religion of her choice, pursuant to a freedom guaranteed under the Constitution. And now the demolition of a building for Christian worship.

Malaysia is a secular nation, albeit with the majority of its people of the Islamic faith. For a court of the land to blatantly flaunt a constitutional provision is without precedent. For an organ of government to demolish a building without a court order is to give no credence to the rule of law.

Surely for the executive and legislative arms of the state to remain silent in light of such flagrant breaches is to acquiesce to such actions. Such disregard of rights of individuals and religious groups should be litigated before the courts or subjected to the legislative process to overrule an erroneous decision by the highest court in the land.
