PKR information chief Tian Chua said today that he has 'evidence' to prove that Deputy Premier Najib Abdul Razak had met Altantuya Shaariibuu.

He told reporters at PKR headquarters today that he had "enough" information and evidence to show that the duo knew each other and had met before.

Pressed for details, Chua said he was not duty bound to reveal the information.

"It's not my job to do so," he said when asked when he would reveal the "evidence".

He believes that members of the prosecution had similar "evidences" at hand but were not pursuing the matter.

Najib's confidante Abdul Razak Baginda is currently on trial for allegedly abetting in the murder of Altantuya. Two elite police personnel have been charged with the murder.

Contacted for clarifications later, Chua alleged that Altantuya was a party in the untendered commissions received by a Malaysian company for the purchase of arms in France.

"Abdul Razak got the commissions and Najib knows about this. The prosecutors, Altantuya's father (Setev Shaariibuu) and the Mongolian High Commissioner know about it.

"But why has this matter not been brought up in court?" he asked.

The Defence Ministry, which Najib also heads, have previously denied paying any commissions in the deal involving two Scorpene submarines from France and 18 Sukhoi jets from Russia.

This has not stopped PKR, primarily its de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, from accusing Najib of having links with both the alleged commissions deal and Mongolian national Altantuya.

Altantuya, according to court documents and her father, is fluent in both French and Russian and is said to be working as a translator.

Najib has thus far been kept out of the murder trial but one Mongolian witness had once testified she had seen a photograph of a Malaysian government official known only as "Najib Razak" dining with Altantuya and Abdul Razak.

Najib had on numerous occasions denied having known Altantuya and accused the opposition of political assassination.

In another development, PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar today warned that the youth movement would launch a campaign to locate the alleged photograph mentioned in the trial.

"I believe there are a lot of photographers (that may have photographed them together overseas), maybe there are still keeping the picture. We hope to share these photographs with the public come the next general election," he said.
