Chief Inspector Koh Fei Cheow, the officer who arrested Sirul Azhar Umar told the court today that he and ASP Zulkarnain bin Samsudin found a ring, a watch, and a pair of broken earrings belonging to the deceased Altantuya Shaariibuu in the pocket of Sirul's jacket.
This occurred on November 7 last year, a day after Sirul was arrested.
The jewelry was "recovered" after Sirul was interrogated by Koh, one day after the discovery of the crime scene.
Koh ( left ) said Zulkarnain and their team proceeded to Sirul's two-room flat in Sungai Buloh, led by Sirul himself, after a report was made on the results of Sirul's interrogation and the "discovery".
Koh said he saw Zulkarnain take a black jacket out of a closet in Sirul's bedroom and laid it out on the bed. He (Zulkarnain) then took out the three items of jewellery that had been identified and tendered in court by Altantuya's cousin as belonging to Altantuya.
They subsequently searched the rest of the room, and the other rooms in the flat.
Tun Majid questioned Koh on the conditions of the "discovery" during investigation to prove the voluntariness of the "discovery" during Sirul's interrogation.
Azilah details crime scene
Referring to his investigation diary, Koh told the court that when they were at the crime scene, Azilah told him that "this is the place where the Mongolian woman was blown up".
"He showed us the way to the crime scene voluntarily" he added.
According to Koh, Azilah also led him to another area roughly 30ft from the "blast site" and told him: "This is where the Mongolian woman was shot".
Koh said that upon surveying the "blast site", he found human bone fragments and found burn marks in the area.
Judge Mohd Zaki Mohd Yasin visited the crime scene yesterday.
Azilah and Sirul are charged with killing Altantuya between 10pm on Oct 19 and 1am on Oct 20 last year.
Political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda is charged with abetting them. All three face the death penalty if convicted.
