MCA, the meek little church mouse

It is good that Umno reminds MCA and Malaysians that the BN is not always united. BN only appears united during 'buy elections' and wants the rakyat to believe so. However, when all is said and done, Umno is supreme and MCA is a little church mouse.

On Hisham's warning: Hey MCA! Shut up!

Ah Chong: It is good that Umno reminds MCA and the people in Malaysia that the BN is not always united especially when it comes to sensitive issues. They (BN) appear united especially during 'buy elections' and want the rakyat to believe so. However when all is said and done, Umno is supreme and MCA is a little church mouse. I think there have been many incidents, racial slurs and threats made by Umno and MCA is as quiet as the little church mouse.

We must all remember this during the general elections when again, they kiss and hold hands and pretend to be loyal bedfellows when in actual fact the MCA is subservient to the wishes of Umno who now declares Malaysia an Islamic state.

Ashamed-to-be-Malaysian: Our Umno so-called 'leaders' have been getting increasingly unreasonable, arrogant, rowdy and quarrelsome in their dealings with their BN partners and non- Malay Malaysians in general.

It is time that Malaysian citizens take these characters to court for regularly inciting racial tension and unrest. One wonders where is our prime minister? What is he doing? We don't need a prime minister to caution the citizens to drive carefully when they 'balik kampung'.

We want to see our prime minister have courage to take charge of important things and do them right according to a right-thinking man's conscience!

Mike33: Needless to say, the MCA must pull out of the coalition

On Islamic state: We must thank Najib

Ibrahim Musa K: It is a common knowledge that politicians are fond of bending rules and regulations either to serve their vested interests or enhance their political bargaining power. What is happening in our country about the question of secular or Islamic state is, of course, no exception.

There is no point of arguing on anything at all if constitutional clauses could be twisted by the whims and idiosyncrasies of politicians in power. And it is equally futile for any marginalised group to voice their concern only to be bashed and pushed into a tight corner eventually. This is what I would call the 'new guided democracy'.

The bottom line is whoever are in charge, they are the only ones who have the final 'say'.

Got it?

Lionpere: Who are they trying to bluff? How can we be an Islamic state when the Barisan government is collecting taxes from gambling, alcohol etc?

Thirty percent of Umno cronies sit as directors on the boards of these public listed companies. Are they willing to step down from this companies? With all this, how can Malaysia be an Islamic state?

On PKR has 'evidence' that Najib met Altantuya

HL Too: Tian Chua may or may not have evidence that Deputy Premier Najib Abdul Razak had met Altantuya but by doctoring a picture to show them together, he has only succeeded in undermining his own credibility while giving the deputy prime minister and his supporters the ammunition they need to counter his allegations. If and when Tian Chua decides to reveal the evidence, will they be believed? Some people just don't understand the importance of credibility.

Dr A Mohanraj: I am utterly disgusted with the so-called 'work of art' by Tian Chua. Doctoring a photograph and posting it on the Internet abuses freedom of expression. Personally I am saddened because I thought individuals like Tian Chua would form part of the constructive checks and balances of our society. But now I have woken up to the reality that politicians will be politicians, whatever persuasion they represent.
