Cops raid businesses in Rawang, believed linked to GISBH

Selangor police raided several business outlets believed to be related to GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) in a coordinated operation in Bandar Country Homes, Rawang early this morning.

The raid, which was carried out around 6.30am, involved approximately 200 members of the Selangor police contingent with the help of the Federal Reserve Force, as well as with the cooperation of the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) and the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS).

Among the business premises inspected included clinics, restaurants, car workshops, used clothing stores, printing shops, supermarkets, bakeries, media service centres, hotels, boutiques, galleries, and several other businesses that use the GISBH name.

Checks by Bernama showed that police were still conducting checks on individuals in the area, including children as of 8.30am.

At the same time, MPS was seen to be demolishing illegally erected structures and taking hold of several business premises.

The entire business centre in Jalan Desa, Bandar Country Homes, was sealed during the operation.

K’tan cops raid homes linked to GISBH CEO

Kelantan police raided three houses believed to be residences of the senior management families of GISBH in Kampung Panji, Kota Bharu, today.

Bernama was present during the operation, from 6.30am to 9am, which was conducted by the Kelantan police headquarters in collaboration with the Kelantan Islamic Affairs Department.

Police found about 30 individuals, including the second wife of a senior GISBH management member residing in one of the houses, along with more than 20 children.

Authorities also seized various books and documents related to GISBH, which were buried along the riverbank, with some of the materials already burnt.

Bernama was informed that the houses had been tenanted by GISBH members for decades, with a high turnover of occupants.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain, when contacted, stated that today’s raids were part of a large-scale operation conducted in several states, including Kelantan.
