Malaysian women's, mixed doubles storm into World Championship finals
Malaysia's top women's doubles pair, Pearly Tan and M Thinaah, moved one step closer to securing the country's first gold medal in the category at the Badminton BWF World Championships 2025.
During the semi-finals at the Adidas Arena in Paris, France, today, the duo beat Japan's Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida 14-21, 21-13 and 21-12.

Yesterday, the pair beat Bulgaria's Gabriela and Stefanie Stoeva 21-15, 21-10 in the quarter-finals.
Tan-Thinaah will face either top seeds Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning of China or Japan's Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakanishi in the title showdown tomorrow.
Malaysia’s mixed doubles pairing of Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei also booked their spot in the final with a straight sets 21-18, 21-16 win against France’s Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue.
They will face China’s second seeds Jiang Zhenbang-Wei Yaxin in the final tomorrow.
