The Malaysian Bar had called out the government over the lack of transparency regarding the appointment of Federal Court judge Ahmad Terrirudin Salleh to the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC).

While acknowledging that the appointment is under the prime minister’s purview, Bar president Ezri Abdul Wahab said the position is usually filled by the most senior members of the Federal Court.
