The Cabinet today decided that RTM will continue the trial run on the 30-minute live telecast of the question and answer session at the Dewan Rakyat sitting, said Information Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had also called for the live telecast to continue.

Guan Eng was responding to remarks by Ahmad Shabery that there may be no more live telecast of Parliament proceedings as he would propose to the Cabinet to stop such broadcasts.

In another development, former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he decided to become a blogger due to the people’s request.
