Ousted Menteri Besar Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin and his exco members, all clad in black to 'mourn the death of democracy' in Perak, were prevented from entering the state secretariat building in Ipoh this morning.

About 30 FRU personnel stopped them as they approached the premises about 11am. Nizar and his party left about 10 minutes later. Some Pakatan Rakyat supporters were in the vicinity.

A similar stunt last Friday resulted in Mohd Nizar and his exco members being booted out of the state secretariat by the state secretary and Ipoh police chief after they had spent 45 minutes at office.

According to Bernama , Ipoh police chief ACP Azisman Alias advised Nizar and his group to disperse from the state secretariat as their presence would cause traffic congestion.

Nizar told reporters that he would continue to perform his duties from the menteri besar's official residence which he has refused to vacate, despite Zambry Abd Kadir being sworn in as the new menteri besar last Friday.

"We will do our work from the menteri besar's residence and try to re-arrange some of the appointments," he said.

He added that he will not be coming back to the state secretariat tomorrow.

The BN exco members, sworn in this morning , will start work at the state secretariat immediately.
