No minister for non-Muslim affairs
The cabinet has decided not to take up a lawmaker’s suggestion for there to be a non-Muslim religious affairs minister.
This is after several politicians kicked up a fuss over the suggestion with flimsy arguments about such a minister undermining Islam’s position in the country.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the current cabinet portfolios are sufficient to represent the interests of all Malaysians.

Sabah scandal videos 'inadmissible'
MACC chief Azam Baki elaborated on his claim that there’s insufficient evidence in the Sabah corruption scandal.
Critics had argued that the videos show a prima facie case and that there’s enough material for a Netflix series.
However, Azam countered that because the videos publicly available were edited, they could not be used for investigations or as evidence in court.

DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke had dismissed speculation of infighting.
Separately, his purported rival Lim Guan Eng dismissed claims that his family had established a dynasty in the party.
