What a week it was! A busy and exciting week of sports to be exact.

Let me begin on Saturday night July 3 (Malaysian time) when the Ladies Single final of the Wimbledon Tennis Grand Slam was played.

On centre court that cool but sunny English day were defending champion Serena Williams and lowly ranked Russian teenager Maria Sharapova.

Thanks to Astro, many of us were able to watch the match live on its Starsport channel. I did too.

And what a match it was! Maria Sharapova became the lowest ranked woman to win Wimbledon when she disposed off US superstar Serena 6-1, 6-4 in an exciting final which I thoroughly enjoyed.
