I don't see the problem if the Kampung Buah Pala is maintained as it is or developed because I'm not a party involved in the ongoing tussle. Neither am I going to financially benefit from this.

However, as a motorist in Penang, I would rather see the residential village developed as the attitude of the present residents does affect me in a certain way.

Road users are often intimidated by the residents of Kampung Buah Pala if you are involved in an accident along the roads near the village, even if the other party is not someone from the settlement.

You will be mobbed by the villagers with threatening gestures and it is widely known that people have been beaten up because of some road accidents.

Ask any motorists who use the roads along Kampung Buah Pala or check with the police records and you will get what I mean.

In a nutshell, as a Penangite and general road user, I would rather have the village developed.
