Recently, some confirmed and would-be emigrants including Can't Keep The Faith Now , Ryan Davidson , and Dr LF Ng have taken the liberty to express their bitterness against bumiputeras and the reasons they are leaving (or have left).

Could well-paid individuals in the upper echelon of society such as Can't Keep The Faith Now and Ryan Davidson actually be complaining about injustices in Malaysia? Perhaps due to the NEP and the lack of political affiliation, they are denied more wealth.

Perhaps, someone else other than them was promoted and rewarded and that person is a bumiputera. And they believe that the only reason that was possible was because that individual was connected and was a bumiputera.

Maybe Ryan Davidson (or Can't Keep The Faith Now who implied his life was a mirror of Ryan's) should get a lesson on social injustice and human greed from the maid that he is only paying RM400 a month despite him earning a five-figure salary.

Regardless of their reasons, I am glad they are going (or have gone) to a 'better' place (countries with better income per capita). It will make room here for those who wants to stay and progress with the country despite its faults.

These three, and others like them, are cowards and opportunists (be it social or economic) of civil liberties which were bitterly fought for by the natives of those countries.

Countries such as the US, Australia and the Europan nations were not made perfect overnight. Civil liberties had to be fought for by the brave many there - be they rich or poor - who stayed on and dreamt that where they were could just be the best place on earth.

To those who want to leave, just leave. Spare us your bitterness and just go. Malaysia will always be my country.
