Ushiv is right when he says it's Time to phase out Tamil schools.
The only reason why these schools are still around is because the MIC wants to keep the Indians under its control by ensuring they underperform. The politicians in India use the same tactic; the underclass don't ask to many questions and can be easily manipulated.
I myself was born in a estate but my parents had the foresight to send me to a national-type (English) school. Although my Tamil is weak, I had a good education which led me on to UK and later to the US. I have lived in US for 20 years quite happily.
But all my boyhood friends who went to Tamil schools are still in the same town doing menial jobs. Their Tamil schools were in a poor state 30 years ago and they are worse off now.
You think they would have learnt their lesson from their fathers' mistake but alas no. They are repeating the same mistake of sending their children to Tamil schools in spite of repeated discouragement from me.
Why? Because the local MIC officials have told them they need to support the Tamil culture in Malaysia.
Politicians have such a hold over the poor - and their misery.
